A charity working with the homeless has called for volunteers to help out with preparing lunch meals this winter.

NOAH Enterprise has been working with some of the town’s disadvantaged groups for many years.

If you are available regularly between 10am – 2pm any day of the week, please get in contact with the charity to volunteer your time at the welfare centre.

“Our welfare centre kitchen is in need of regular volunteers to help our chef prepare meals,” said Paul Prosser, Head of Welfare Services.

“At NOAH Enterprise, the team are gearing up for the cold weather season. At this time of year, there are many vulnerable people in Luton with nowhere to go and who are rough sleeping in the open.”

You can find out more by emailing Priya.kumari@noahenterprise.org or go to the website www.noahenterprise.org/how-you-can-help/volunteering/

The charity have also asked for donations of the following; socks, t-shirts, coats, razors, mens’ underwear, torches, watches and sleeping bags, as well as coffee and sugar.

We would love to hear from you. If you have a community story that deserves to be heard, then drop us a line on news@inspirefm.org or call the newsdesk on 01582 48 18 10.
