CONTINUE TO MAKE TIME FOR THE QUR’AN

Written by on May 16, 2022

Learning the Qur’an is a very important act in Islam which brings invaluable rewards and we should make time for the Qur’an.

With Ramadhan over, we shouldn’t stop reciting and reflecting on the Qur’an. Make time for the Qur’an as often as you can.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”

The Qur’an states “This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.”

RECITING THE QUR’AN BRINGS MANY BENEFITS

We can gain great rewards for reciting the Qur’an.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “If anyone prays at night reciting regularly ten verses, he will not be recorded among the negligent; if anyone prays at night and recites a hundred verses, he will be recorded among those who are obedient to Allah; and if anyone prays at night reciting one thousand verses, he will be recorded among those who receive huge rewards.”

LEARNING THE QUR’AN RAISES OUR STATUS

The best of those in the eyes of Allah, are those who learn the Qur’an, excel in it, and then teach it to others. This is a practice that the sahaba had implemented.

TEACHING THE QUR’AN HAS BIG REWARDS

Islam assigns great significance in teaching the Qur’an to children.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “If anyone recites the Qur’an and acts according to its content, on the Day of Judgement his parents will be given to wear a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world if it were among you. So what do you think of him who acts according to this?”
