The Inspire Eid community festival takes place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July 2022 at Lewsey Park, Luton.

The bi-annual festival is presented by community radio station Inspire FM and is focused on bringing people together to celebrate Eid affordably.

Luton Sixth Form College and Barnfield College are key partners of the event this year which is expected to attract thousands over the two days between 12pm and 8pm.

“Inspire Eid is about great family fun all at an affordable price,” said Inspire FM’s Station Operations Manager Mohammed Tariq.

Tariq added, “It’s always wonderful to see the diverse community in Luton celebrate together and we strive to ensure the festival is inclusive and accessible to all.”

Attendees can expect heavily discounted funfair rides, free family fun, stage performances, a variety of stalls and international food.

Altaf Hussain, CEO and Principal of Luton Sixth Form College, said: “We are so proud to be supporting this vibrant community festival once again with our friends at Barnfield College.

“The Inspire Eid festival does a brilliant job at bringing communities together in a family-friendly and affordable environment.”

Cath Gunn, Principal of Barnfield College, said: “The atmosphere at the last festival was spectacular and we are honoured to support the event again, it’s delightful to see so many members of our local community come together to enjoy the activities.”

Working with local schools, Inspire FM and its partners will once more identify families who need a little extra support to receive free rides vouchers as part of the Every Child Smiles campaign.

“The fabulous Every Child Smiles campaign means that families can enjoy the Eid celebrations without worrying about the cost. Thank you for supporting our community,” said Katharine Lovell, Headteacher at Dallow Primary School.

The community festival is supported by Aegis Training, Bartham Group, Liberty Law Solicitors, Tops Pizza, VEO Logistics, Venue Central, The Raise Up Foundation, Hannah Solicitors, Chiltern Learning Trust, The Mall Luton and Mayday Vehicle Rentals.
