Over ninety runners from the town will be running in this month’s Love Luton 10K & Half Marathon as part of their ongoing charity efforts.

Fresh from conquering the Scottish Half Marathon last month (see photo above), the Luton Lions Running Group #TeamLuton are raising money for the Curry Kitchen, a partnership initiative delivered by Community Interest Luton and the Discover Islam Centre.

They will be part of Love Luton 10K & Half Marathon, which takes place on 27 October in Stockwood Park.

The group have raised significant amounts of money for charity in recent years, inspiring many others to join the group in the process.

Most significantly, the group raised a superb £72,000 for Children with Cancer after running in the London Marathon.

This time, they have pledged to raise money for the Curry Kitchen, a community initiative that feeds over 100 people weekly as part of their work with the needy and homeless in Luton.

Both Community Interest Luton and the Discover Islam Centre are community-based organisations that are driven to make a positive difference and to make the town we love even better to live in for all.
