The Stockwood Park Academy, part of The Shared Learning Trust, has been distributing food parcels to Luton residents since July.

In collaboration with Go Dharmic, the local Academy has provided food parcels and essential items to many families during the coronavirus pandemic.

Donations of food and hygiene products such as shampoos and body washes have come in from local businesses and charities.

Further food and essential items have been bought with funding received from monetary donations.

Volunteers have gathered at The Stockwood Park Academy to prepare and distribute the packs local families.

Volunteers gathered at The Stockwood Park Academy ready to distribute food parcels to families for the half-term holiday.

A spokesperson for The Shared Learning Trust said: “We hope to continue to collaborate with Go Dharmic and have already helped families from our other academies within our trust such as The Vale Academy and The Linden Academy as well as other local schools.

“Our food and essential items parcels are already supporting so many Luton families in need and we are proud to be working with our local community to ensure that no child goes hungry in Luton.”
