INSPIRE FM EID EXTRAVAGANZA RETURNS NEXT WEEKEND TO BRING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER

You have been invited to come join us at the Inspire Eid family extravaganza next weekend – it’s the only place to be.

The two-day event will take place on the days of Eid (Sunday 11 and Monday 12 August) in Lewsey Park.

And just like last time, our pledge is that no one pays more than £1 for a funfair ride.

That’s right… just £1… And some of the rides will even be free!

We are also pleased to announce that we will again be running the Every Child Smiles initiative which means deserving families can enjoy the day without worrying too much about the cost of the experience.

This is as a result of donations from generous-hearted members of the community who have donated towards ensuring everyone can join us on the day.

“The response from people from our community to Inspire Eid and the Every Child Smiles initiative has been a reminder how important it is to bring people together,” said Inspire FM Station Operations Manager Mohammed Tariq.

“We were pleased with the support that we received from the community to our first event, in June, and were encouraged to run it again.”

He added: “We have been working with a range of agencies, such as school family workers and local charities, to identify families that will receive vouchers for free rides and meals that will make the day extra special.

“In addition, we know of others, including refugee families from Syria, who will be joining us on the day.”

WHAT IS INSPIRE EID?

Inspire FM have a long-standing commitment towards charitable initiatives in our town – Inspire Eid is one of them.

This is the second Inspire Eid, following June’s event. It is run by a team of volunteers drawn from all over our town.

Tariq added: “Inspire Eid was a response to a need for an event of this kind. We wanted to ensure families, and in particular children, do not miss out on this special day.

“An important part of our pledge to our community is that we wanted it to be affordable. This has not always been the case in the past.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support there is behind this concept – we hope insha’Allah it will continue to grow.”
