Hundreds came together to enjoy food, drinks and rides at the Winter Fair in St. George’s Square, Luton.

The Winter Fair took place between Saturday 18 to Tuesday 21 December and was part of Inspire FM’s Be a Good Neighbour initiative.

Working in partnership with Active Luton and D&G Amusements, children on free school meals were given a healthy meal and free ride tokens to use at the family funfair.

Free food and hot drinks were also shared with the wider community in line with the Islamic teaching of sharing food with neighbours.

“We are always pleased with the response we get from the people of Luton when we run events like this,” said Inspire FM Station Operations Manager Mohammed Tariq.

“The kindness and generosity from those that join us is a great reminder of why Inspire FM runs the Be a Good Neighbour initiative.”

He added: “One of the key elements of the event is to show the true message of Islam.

“Seeing people from different backgrounds sharing food and good conversation is always a beautiful experience.”

Inspire FM would like to thank Karam’s, Gio’s Pizza, Tops Pizza, MS Foods, Costa Coffee (Unit 205 St George’s Square) and Lala Jee Catering Service for their support and generosity.
