FAST-A-THON CHALLENGE 2022

The Fast-a-thon challenge is held every year in the month of Ramadhan to raise awareness about the issue of child poverty in our town.

As part of this, our friends at Discover Islam Luton are encouraging people of all faiths and backgrounds to sign up and fast for a day from dawn to sunset (or skip lunch, if preferred).

If you do get involved, why not join us and break your fast at The Big Iftar on Friday 8 April in St George’s Square.

And if you can, donate what you would typically spend on lunch to our charity partner Luton Foodbank.

BIG IFTAR

People of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to share food and good company at The Big Iftar on Friday 8 April in St George’s Square.

Inspire FM, together with a range of local partners, bring you this annual get together during the month of Ramadhan. The day ends with a communal sunset meal to break the daily fast.

We’d love for you to join us. Tickets to book your complimentary meal will be available from Mon 28 March. Do keep an eye on Inspire FM’s social media in the meantime.

SCHOOLS’ ASSEMBLIES & WORKSHOPS

Discover Islam Luton would be delighted to visit your school to deliver an assembly or workshop about Ramadhan. This will help educate children about this important aspect of the faith and in particular, the importance of the month.
