Written by Inspire FM on April 27, 2022
The Inspire Eid festival returns to Lewsey Park to ensure every child smiles this Eid as part of its family-friendly ethos.
The bi-annual community festival, organised by Inspire FM, will take place on 2 and 3 May between 12pm and 8pm.
The Every Child Smiles campaign, in partnership with Luton Foodbank, aims to ensure all families can enjoy the festival without having to worry about the cost of having fun.
The campaign has been an integral part of the festival since its inception.
“The Inspire Eid festival is a community-led event that brings together families and friends to celebrate Eid affordably,” said Festival Manager Mohammed Tariq.
Tariq added, “Once again it is great to see generous-hearted listeners of Inspire FM support the campaign to provide free ride tokens to families in Luton who need a little bit of support.”
Cori Bateman, CEO of the Pioneer Learning Trust, said: “Pioneer Learning Trust are delighted to support Inspire FM and the Luton Foodbank with their incredible ‘Every Child Smiles’ initiative which will ensure that families have an amazing time at the Community Eid Festival.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there and wish our community a joyful Eid Mubarak.”
Katharine Lovell, Headteacher at Dallow Primary School, said: “Dallow Primary is very grateful to Inspire FM for the ‘Free Rides’ as it enables our children and their families to enjoy the Eid celebrations.
“The fabulous Every Child Smiles campaign means that they can join in the fun without worrying about the cost. Thank you for supporting our community.”
Attendees can expect £1 and £2 funfair rides, free family fun, stage performances, a bazaar and international food.
Inspire FM is pleased to have Luton Sixth Form College and Barnfield College as the Chief Event Partners for this festival.
Altaf Hussain, CEO and Principal of Luton Sixth Form College, said: “Luton Sixth Form College is a strong advocate for greater community cohesion and the Inspire Eid festival does a fantastic job at bringing communities together in a family-friendly, affordable environment.”
The festival will have a wide range of activities like archery, crazy golf, zorbing, face painting and cricket.
There will be plenty to get involved in and enjoy.
